The Farm Kitchen
As farmers, food is one of the most important things in our lives, not just because we grow and sell produce for a living, but because we are surrounded by a tradition of cooking. Our love of food stems from the fact that our lives are so closely entwined with the coming of each season and the anticipation of each new crop. We have created an immersive dining experience that gives our guests unique access to our farm, to our kitchen, and ultimately to us through the act of sharing a meal together.
Our menus not only reflect what is in season but also our vision of good food. We believe in new interpretations of tried and true ingredients, highlighting heirloom and otherwise unconventional components, and utilizing whole plants and animals to reduce waste and draw out exquisite, less common flavors.
The farm's dining program is led by farmer and chef Geoff Seelen, formerly of the Blue Hill restaurants in New York, who has created an inventive, single-origin cuisine based on what the farm produces from month to month. Fair Game Beverage Company, Pittsboro's only legal distillery, is always open prior to the main event for those who enjoy good beer, fortified wine, and quality spirits. We welcome you to BYOB should you so wish.
The evening begins with a tour of the farm; dinner usually concludes around 9:00 or 9:30.
All our events for 2016 are sold out! Please check in with us in the Winter for the release of our 2017 events list!
BYOB. Choose your poison or none at all. Fair Game Beverage will have bottles of their excellent fortified wine available for purchase throughout the event. Our staff will assist with opening bottles.
Don't worry. We are within Pittsboro town limits and not so difficult to find as far as farms go. Our address is 220 Lorax Lane, Pittsboro, NC, 27312. Once you are in town, just take Industrial Drive across from the Pittsboro Feed Store and alongside SECU down to it's conclusion. When you see a herd of greenhouses on a hill, you've found us.
This isn't a coat and tie affair. It's a dinner party amongst friends. However you feel comfortable at such events is fine with us. If you choose to participate in our farm tour that precedes dinner, you may wish to consider footwear appropriate to walking on grass and gravel.
Park anywhere you can in our large gravel parking lot below the greenhouses. Everything from the farm, to the cocktail hour, to the dinner are very short and accessible walks from the parking lot. After parking, head on over to the twinkling lights and join the party. It will be obvious, trust us.
Our dinners are hosted in a lovely, intimate setting. Because space is limited, we ask that you reserve your seats via our online ticketing service as soon as you are sure. We do understand that the unexpected happens and an evening that once seemed free and clear can turn out otherwise. We are happy to provide refunds given at least one week's notice, as this gives us time to get the word out and fill your seats. If a last minute conflict occurs, however, we ask that you please sell or give away your tickets yourself as it is too late for us to find replacements for you. In such a case, simply notify us that you will not be attending, and let us know who will be taking your spot.
