Mushroom Foraging, Last Farm Dinner, Tobago Peppers

Veggie art at the Durham Farmers' Market! All the color on the farm is keeping us happy as the weather cools. Mini bell peppers and fairy tale eggplant are always a hit.
Last Farm Dinner of the Year

There are just a few tickets still available to our dinner this Saturday. We are looking forward to celebrating a great season of farm dinners with a nice mix of familiar and fresh faces. Tickets can be found on our website.
Week of 10-12-15
The farm took advantage of all of the rain to forage for mushrooms in the woods surrounding the farm. We hit a jackpot of oyster mushrooms that will be featured in the dinner this Saturday.
Tobago peppers! The farm's iconic spice pepper that mixes smoky and sweet without the heat of its relative the habenero. It's hands down a customer and farmer favorite. Everyone in our CSA is receiving this unique fruit this week. Check out Chef Geoff's Tobago primer on our blog.
One tunnel down and two well on their way. We have been building three high tunnels this year to increase our ability to grow great produce straight through the winter. These passive solar greenhouses have been a huge undertaking for the farm this year and there is a serious sense of relief trickling in as we put the finishing touches on them.
